First Mother's Day

I can't say how grateful I am for this day.  I always wanted to be a mom, I always knew I'd be a mom, but I never knew how thankful I'd be for this day.  It is such a privilege and a gift to be this little dude's mom.

March of Dimes Success!

Thanks to the support of YOU, team We Walk for Wyatt raised almost $1,000 for March of Dimes through the March for Babies walk.  We had a great time and it was really neat to walk among other preemie parents.

March for Babies

We are excited to March for Babies through the March of Dimes the first weekend in May.  We'd love to have your support.  The March of Dimes has poured money into preemie research in many ways over many years.  As blessed as we are to have Wyatt with us, not everyone's story is like ours so while we walk for Wyatt, we're walking for all premature babies!

Whidbey Island

Our now every-other-year Whidbey Island tradition came again this weekend.  It was fun to have the whole Christiansen clan together and it was one of Wyatt's first big outings, too!  Matt's good friend Casey took family photos of us while there which was special in addition to all the fun memories made throughout the weekend.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

Today we took our first family trip to the zoo.  I'm on Spring Break and Matt had today off.  Wyatt slept through most of it but he did seem to enjoy himself, nonetheless.  We had to get a picture of him near the giraffes since his wubanub giraffe pacifier "Hector" is his favorite.

He is Risen.

For centuries people have celebrated Easter.  It may mean the Easter bunny, jelly beans, Easter eggs, going to church, an egg hunt, brunch, getting dressed up, or any combination of the above.  For us, it means all of those things and whole lot more.  The Easter story is magical.  This man dies and is buried.  3 days later he, alive and well, leaves his tomb.  My brief and simple account of the story is simply a representation of so much more - redemption and hope, to name a few.  I hope you found something magical about this Easter.

Obviously, for us, it was Wyatt's first.  It included many of the traditions listed above.  Although he is still so young and has a tiny understanding of everything going on around him, it was a great joy to share this special day with him for the first time.

Happy Easter!
