They had to move the IV from his hand to his head (they're hard to keep in their tiny, fragile veins!)
I got to help with "cares" which was THRILLING! I took his temperature (37.1 celsius - perfect!)
I wiped his little mouth clean which made him a little mad at me but I'm sure he was thankful in the end. I put Aquaphor on his dry little arms and legs. Since the humidity is down to zero (from 53%), his skin is much drier. But we're thrilled with the zero humidity. He's already acclimating to the "normal" environment.
Finally, the highlight, I got to change his diaper for the first time (grabbing him at the hips, NOT ankles per the physical therapist - yep, he's cool enough to have a physical therapist already).
He's opening his eyes more and more all the time and more frequently. We could look into those baby blues all day.
One of my favorite mini tools they have is the stethoscope. It's so small and adorable (wait until you see the blood pressure cuff!)
