In other news, he's down to ONE liter on the nasal cannula, breathing at room air (and he often pulls it out and doesn't de-sat which means he's getting close to needing no help at all) and is up in weight again to 1400 grams (3 pounds, 1 ounce)!

Bottle Feeding 101
Wyatt took his first bottle today! Apparently, most preemies that start bottle feeding take a few mLs, maybe 10 at most. This guy took NINETEEN! That's over half his feeding! He did wonderfully while Jan the physical therapist fed him. She told me it's best for her to do the first feeding in case he has any trouble (turns blue, chokes, etc.) but he fed SO WELL without any issues. He can already suck, swallow, and breathe (with support, of course). Both she and the nurse were amazed at how well he did. Keep in mind this guy is only 7 weeks old, "34 weeks adjusted" so he should have 6 more weeks before he even has to think about this but our champ is doing it already!
